About The Artist
Born in Victoria’s Yarra Ranges at Healsville in 1966,Kurun is a native of the Gunditjmara tribe. His culture and heritage can be traced back to Truganini, the last surviving Tasmanian Queen. Now based in Noosa hinterland in South East Queensland, Kurun’s art depicts the evolution of contemporary Aboriginal abstract art.
