About The Artist
Andrea Adamson Tiger is a Pitjantjatjara artist born in 1973 at Amata in the APY Lands of South Australia. Encouraged into painting by her father Tony Adamson as an avenue to energize the Anangu cultural stories that her ancestors and family share.
Apart from her work as an artist, Andrea has worked as an Indigenous guide in several locations in the Northern Territory such as Uluru and Alice Springs.
Andrea participates in ceremonial and cultural events that take part on her homelands where the songs and dances are performed that honours the Tjukurrpa or Dreaming Law relating to her people.
Painting vast portraits of her homelands, showing the Country and the many highlights that relate to the Tjukurrpa or Dreaming Law, Andrea’s work is eloquently linked to the heritage of artists of the APY lands.
