About The Artist
Region: – Utopia, Pmara Jutunta (Ti-Tree) Northern Territory

Like his famous half-sister “Emily Kngwarreye” Kudditji has a deserved reputation of being an innovator and as a consummate artist. He is an Ammatyerre Elder and custodian of many important “Dreaming’s” and has been actively painting since 1986.
In approximately 2003 intrigued by the availability of acrylic paint and the Kaleidoscope of colours also available to him, Kudditji began to use a heavily loaded brush to sweep broadly across the canvas in stages, similar to the western landscape plane, these paintings represent images of his country, accentuating the colour and form of the landscape including the depth of the sky in the wet season and the reds and oranges of the shimmering summer heat.
Kudditji’s art is represented in major galleries and private collections both nationally and internationally.
