Naata commenced painting for Papunpa Tula Artist in 1996. In 1999 with her sister Nancy and eight other women from Walungurru collaborated on a large canvas, which was subsequently exhibited at the Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney.

The dreaming that Naata paints include the Marrapinti Rock Hole site and “Tingari themes depicting sacred women ceremonial sites. Once the women had have completed their sacred ceremony at “Marrapinti Rock Hole” they would continue their journey eastward.

Naata’s paintings is characterised by luminous reds, yellows, pinks and oranges, often outlined in small segments spread all over the canvas surface or spiralling inwards to represent a central site of “Tingari”  which are the basis of her painting.

In 2003 Naata’s painting was used as a motif on an Australian stamp
